Concert Band

The GK’s Concert Band is our advanced ensemble, for musicians of all ages with experience playing in a wind ensemble.

Rehearsals focus on ensemble work, building skills in musicianship, and preparation for competitions, concerts and performances in the community.

Explorer Band

The GK's Explorer Band is our intermediate ensemble for people who can read music and have some experience playing in a group setting.

Members will build foundation skills, develop more independence in their playing and learn how to be part of a large ensemble.

Discovery Band

The GK's Discovery Band is for people who are starting their musical journey and have not played an instrument before.

Our progressive and comprehensive programme includes instrument tuition and music theory, starting with the basics of putting your instrument together, reading music and producing a sound, taught in a small group setting.

Marching Band

The GK’s Marching Band is our ensemble for ‘Music on the Move’, combining music, marching and showmanship.

As one of our oldest ensembles, Marching Band was first established in 1984 as a group of school-aged musicians that went on to compete and represent Australia overseas during the 1990s and early 2000s.
